In her acceptance speech for Favorite Pop Album at the 2022 American Music Awards, Taylor Swift thanked her famous friends who helped make her album Red (Taylor’s Version) so successful! She said I want to thank my friends in the audience tonight, who have been with me through this whole ride.
You know I love you from the bottom of my heart and I hope that we can continue to go on this journey together.
The re-recording of her 2012 album won Favorite Pop Album at the 2022 American Music Awards and she credited some of her famous friends for helping make it happen including: Taylor Swift won Favorite Pop Album for Red (Taylor’s Version) at the American Music Awards on Sunday night, Oct. 20.
In her acceptance speech, she made sure to thank all of her friends by name and mentioned some who had helped make her most recent project a success.
I want to thank my friends in the audience tonight, she said as a round of applause broke out among those gathered onstage.
In addition to thanking Sadie Sink and American Music Awards producer Shari Mokhtarian, Swift also praised fellow musicians Jorja Smith, Halsey and Maggie Rogers for their work on Red (Taylor’s Version), which also includes appearances from stars like Blake Lively, Miles Teller, Kevin Spacey and Tyler Posey.
She said I’m grateful before ending her speech by adding: We’re gonna keep doing this together.
The award-winning singer/songwriter accepted her award from former American Idol contestant Adam Lambert and opened up about why this particular record is such an important one for her.
I think its only natural that when something really difficult happens to us in our lives, we come back around again trying to figure out how much of our voice was taken away, she told reporters backstage following the ceremony.
And I think when something really painful happens in your life – whether it be divorce or death or you’ve lost your job or whatever – there’s always an opportunity to come back around.
And so that’s what happened for me with this album. It wasn’t intentional, but once I started writing these songs after making the decision to not worry about things outside of myself anymore, it felt really cathartic.
But then he kept asking if I could please put Sadie Sink in his movie The Disaster Artist because he wanted her to get recognized from playing Eliza Dooley on Stranger Things and he knew she needed some recognition for her own accomplishments after being typecast as ‘that girl from Stranger Things.’
When Patrick Stewart asked me to star alongside him in his movie The Oath, I thought he was joking because well, that would be awesome! And now I am here with the gorgeous ladies in front of me, the amazing directors and producers behind this show and everyone watching.

Best New Artist nominees include Billie Eilish, Lil Nas X, Shawn Mendes and Lady Gaga. Other nominees in the Best Female category include Camila Cabello, Cardi B and Ariana Grande.
Voting for the 2022 American Music Awards will take place from October 18th to November 1st with winners announced on November 23rd.

Taylor has previously won 20 AMA awards, more than any other artist in history , and the coveted award for Favorite Pop Album at the 2022 American Music Awards has officially made it twenty-one.
This is a huge honor! exclaimed Taylor Swift. Especially since it’s my album, so I get to say what the favorites are.
The entirety of her speech ended with a hug between herself and Sadie Sink who, according to an interview later revealed on TV WatchTime had already told Taylor about how much Stranger Things means to her.
Sadie cried onstage while hugging Taylor and telling America that she loved them before accepting the award for Favorite Breakout Artist .

It was really fun hanging out with her . We had a lot of talks about how we wanted the video to be unique.
There were times where we were both like: This is crazy, but we just made it happen because we both love each other and wanted it to be something special that we would both remember.
It’s been such an honor to get to know her and make this great music together. I also want to thank Kelly Clarkson who came back into my life last year when she did Call It What You Want with me which won Favorite Country Song at the American Music Awards this year.
I was blown away by the surprise. She’s just so talented and inspiring.
I’m lucky enough to have many incredible women in my life like Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato, who are as generous with their time as they are with their talents.
I’m grateful for them too.
And finally, there are two people who work closely with me that help keep things running smoothly during what can be some stressful weeks- Kevin Mazur (American Music Awards producer) and Karl Rove (President of Sony Records).
One thing Kevin does is keep track of what songs go on which albums so he made sure Red (Taylor’s Version) got released right before the American Music Awards show aired tonight- the perfect timing!
